Thief on Dispay, 2020
Thief on Display is a research based project (in progress) on the current shift regarding the display of (possibly) looted artifacts, its displacement and repatriation.
"Lieke van der Made’s mini-exhibition in the Art Cube Artists’ Studios Vitrine culminates her guest stay in the residency program. It investigates the exhibition of looted artifacts in museums in and around Jerusalem, alongside its ethical and political implications. The vitrine mini-exhibition investigates the links between the different subjects and case studies via video interviews, photographs and drawings."
